HR Works is supporting its client with its search for an Accounts Payable Manager. The role is fully onsite in Rochester, NY, and the compensation range is from $60,000-$75,000 annually. The Accounts Payable Manager is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for leading people and a knack for hands-on financial management. This role is responsible for leading and administering all Accounts Payable processes, aiding in efficiencies and process improvements.

Essential Functions of this role include:

• Manage vendor relationships, including ongoing review and reconciliation.
• Processing invoices for payment, and corresponding checks runs, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Resolving discrepancies between purchasers and vendors and ensuring timely payments.
• Oversee and guide accounts payable specialists in daily duties.
• Work with accounts payable specialists in development of skills and career goals.
• Processes all credit card payments, employee expense reimbursements, and all operating expenses and payments.
• Manages all purchase orders, balances vendor statements, and ensures accuracy.
• Coaches, manages, and develops Accounts Payable Specialists.
• Along with the team, continuously identifies ways to improve and create efficiencies in all Accounts Payable processes.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred; an associate’s degree is required.
• 5 years of Accounts Payable experience in a mid-size (500 employee) company is required.
• 3 years of experience leading a team is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
